Yesterday, my friend told me that he can't able to open gmail standard view in Internet Explorer 9. When he login to gmail account message shown to his page.
 

"Your browser seems to be Internet Explorer, and ActiveX seems to be disabled. Gmail's standard view requires ActiveX to be enabled in order to operate.”


Gmail standard view always required ActiveX to be enabled. By default, Activex is disabled in internet Explorer 9.

Following are the step to Enable ActiveX in Internet Explorer 9

Goto Tools Menu, select Internet Options

Select Security tab and select Internet zone and click Custom Level button as shown in Figure 1.1

In Security Settings window, scroll down to "Run ActiveX controls and plugin-ins" and enable the following:

• Run ActiveX controls and plugin-ins
• Script ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting

 Click OK button as shown in Figure 1.2

Now Click OK button again.

Your ActiveX is enabled in your Internet Explorer. Now open your internet Explorer again.
